WHY DO WE DO IT?

When the war began in 2022, millions of Ukrainians were forced to flee their homes, but many of those who returned found their land no longer safe.

Fields once full of life are now sown with landmines. Roads, forests, lakes, rivers, and villages are scattered with explosive remnants of war. Today, nearly one-third of Ukraine is contaminated, making it the most mined country in the world.

Behind every statistic are people, farmers who can't plant crops, children who can't play outside, families who can't return home. These mines don't just threaten lives; they freeze communities, destroy livelihoods, and hold back the recovery of an entire nation.

That's why UMAP was founded. We believe that rebuilding Ukraine begins with making it safe again.

We value every single donation, and we want our supporters to be part of the mission. That's why we give our donors the opportunity to choose how their contribution is used: whether it goes toward financing new demining machines or supporting a specific operation focused on a village, farmland, bridge, or other critical area. Every hectare cleared brings families home, allows farmers to plant again, and lets children walk without fear.
